2000 Generation Ranking Update

On the top of this list is new Gonzaga bound, 6’11 Filip Petrušev. He had a good senior season at Montverde Academy, but he still has lot of room for improving and he chose right place that can help him to do that. Gonzaga is well known program for development of big guys. Balša Koprivica had some difficulty at begining and it’s look like he didn’t use this season on the right way, but next season should be his according to Kevin Boyle, head coach of Montverde Academy, who expects a lot from Balsa in upcoming season. Marko Pecarski and Dalibor Ilić already got chance to experience senior level of basketball, and next season they should have even more chance on the floor. Zoran Paunović had dominant season behind him and now he need to adapt on senior level of basketball which he didn’t play before, either in FMP or maybe Crvena Zvezda. There is lot of speculations about Alen Smailagić where he is going to continue his career, they are some rumors that he may go to college but one is for sure, he overcome ambience where he is now. Luka Cerovina and Bogdan Nedeljković already got a chance in Mega Bemax first team, which they will be a part in next season. Arijan Lakić had excellent end of the season on F8 ANGT where he was Crvena Zvezda best player on that tournament. He is very rare type of player that does everything on the floor. Nikola Ivović plays really well in France, he recently led his team to U18 championship where he was the best player and scorer.

New players on the list:

Uroš Trifunović adapted really well in his first season in Turkey playing for Pinar Karsiyaka. 6’7 shooting guard with great lenght and mobility. Plays well within the offense; doesn’t force his scoring or try to do too much.

Filip Njegovanović is 6’6 shooting guard from OKK Slavija. He is also U18 NT candidate. Had senior season behind him where he was putting solid numbers 12.7 pts, 2.9 reb, 2.7 ast. Physically very strong player with good athletic ability. Great defensive potential.

Lazar Trunić had solid second year in Italy in Basket Rimini. He was the best player in U18 team and he had chance to play senior level of basketball in Seria D.
Great size for a guard. Solid court vision, passing ability, and understanding of the game .

Petar Vujović had great U19 F4 RKS where he as one year younger than competition led Sloga to the title. He was MVP and best scorer of the tournament. Good strength level as well as body frame, standing around 6’5, solid athlete, can play both ways. High level of competitiveness. Had chance to debut for Sloga first team in KLS this season.


Marko Babić is 6’3 combo guard who plays for Radnicki 1950. He is Nemanja Nedovic type of player, quick, explosive with good pace changing. Good athleticism, energy, and activity. Very effective in transition. Good slashing ability, excels when driving to the basket. Not quite good passer. Solid shoot but has room for improving.
